Cultivating Seeds of Change
Through Community Engagement,
Dialogue, and Education

July 19th, Vancouver BC, 15 Panelists, 20 Exhibitors
Food, Drink & Product Samples Included with Ticket

Don’t miss your chance to be part of the dialogue!

Join us on July 19th at SFU Harbour Centre to take part in cultivating a common ground for the future use of Cannabis in British Columbia. Marc and Jodie Emery, Kirk Tousaw, Chris Bennett, and Philippe Lucas will be some of the expert panelists sharing their views on the ongoing cultural discussion about Cannabis. You can find the complete list of panelists below.

Three panel discussions will be held to shape further understanding on: the Medicinal Use of Cannabis, The Historical, Sacred, and Ceremonial Use of Cannabis, as well as Governmental Policy and Public Activism. All viewpoints are welcomed and an informed discussion will ensure that the interests of all citizens are well represented.

Never before has there been such a wealth of information and research on the practical, therapeutic and medicinal uses of Cannabis, as well as a growing understanding and acceptance of Cannabis on the part of the general public. However with over 80 Cannabis dispensaries in Vancouver alone, increasing concerns about formal regulation from federal Health Minister Rona Ambrose signal that the future remains uncertain on the path forward. What is needed now is increased community engagement, dialogue, and education.

Questions for the panelists include

  • What are the different models of cannabis legalization?
  • What can we learn from the USA legalization initiatives?
  • What is the public health approach to cannabis legalization?
  • How can Cannabis be de-stigmatized in the mainstream medical community?

Join us for an exciting and informative day with an exceptional array of panelists and special presenters! Enjoy refreshments and beverages with live music in a market place with 15 honored dispensaries and esteemed exhibitors.
